JPS- Training

JPS- Training was launched to provide in-house proprietary training that has a complete customization to each customers needs while meeting and exceeding State and or Federal regulations and certifications.

Through the use of of advanced training technology and innovative delivery of course material, our participants receive a uniquely significant training experience with each and every class attended.

At JPS, our focus is not only to train the participant but to ensure that each and every individual is prepared to handle the multitude of situations that you may encounter in today's ever changing climate.

Training will educate civilians and officers on the proper tactics and techniques with professionalism.

  

Handgun Qualification License Training

($100)

In this 4 hour class, Maryland residents will learn State laws as required to be able to rent, transfer or purchase a handgun. 

All successful students will receive a certificate of completion.

MSP Application

Maryland Wear and Carry Permit Training (CCW)

($225)

In this 16+ hour course, participants will learn Maryland State laws as required to be able to legally carry a firearm.

This course includes Live-Fire on Gun Range. 

All successful students will receive a certificate of completion and Range Score Sheet for uploading to Maryland State Police Website.

MSP Application

Maryland Wear & Carry Renewal Training

($175)

In this 8 hour course, participants will be refreshed on Maryland State laws as required to be able to legally carry a firearm.

All successful students will receive renewal Range Score Sheet for uploading to Maryland State Police Website.

MSP Application

DC Concealed Carry Permit Training (CCW)

($250)

In this 18+ hour course, participants will learn District of Columbia laws and regulations as required to be able to legally carry a firearm.

This course includes Live-Fire on Gun Range. 

All successful students will receive a certificate of completion.

DC Instructions and Application

Multi-State Concealed Carry Permit Training (CCW)

($150)

In this course, participants will learn the basics of  Concealed Carrying.

This course does not meet the requirements of DC or MD credentialing. 

All students will receive a certificate of completion required documents for submitting to licensing boards. 

DC Armed Special Police Officer Training 

($300)

In this 40 hour course, Student Officers will learn District of Columbia laws and regulations as required to become an Armed DC SPO.

Baton - OC Spray - Handcuffing 

This course includes Live-Fire on Gun Range. 

All successful students will receive certifications, Range Score Sheet and a certificate of completion.

DC Armed Special Police Officer Renewal Training

($200)

In this 8 hour course, DC Special Police Officer's will be refreshed on DC Laws pertaining to Officer's authority and will requalify at Gun Range. 

All successful SPO's will receive a certificate of completion.

ICE Course of Fire (DHS/FPS)

One-on-One Training ($200)

In this block of training, participants can practice in any given firearms training above and/or get individually tailored practice for the ICE Course of fire for the Department of Homeland Security / FPS.


*If your organization has a particular way of calling course of fire, bring course of fire sheet or inform Instructor prior to training.

American Red Cross

($100)

In this course, students will learn life saving techniques in First Aid, CPR and AED.

Topics cover: Adult, Child and Infant.

After successful completion of this course, students will receive a two (2) year certificate.

American Red Cross Instructor 

($250)

In this course, Instructor-Candidates will learn what it takes to be an Instructor.

Successful candidates of this approximately 2 day class will be certified as an American Red Cross private FA/CPR/AED Instructor for 2 years.

ASP/MEB Baton Training

($75)

In this 8 hour course, Student Officers will learn to defend yourself with a baton, Understanding where and how to strike an assailant; Multiple-subject acquisition drills, stance, grip, baton retention, and how to effectively and efficiently draw an expandable baton.

Successful participants will receive a Baton Certification at the end of the course

OC Spray Training

($75)

In this 4 hour course, Student Officers will cover fundamentals with discussion, videos, lecture and a written test. Participants in this course will be exposed to the effects of OC Spray.

Successful participants will receive an OC Spray Certification at the end of the course.

Handcuffing Tactics and Techniques

($75)

In this course, Student Officers will learn proper positioning for handcuffing using the safest approach; resistive subjects; removing handcuffs; using various types of cuffs; and understanding general handcuffing guidelines.

Successful participants will receive a Handcuffing Certificate at the end of the course.

Course ranges from 4 to 20 hours depending on selected jurisdiction.

MD Wear & Carry (Officer)

In this 16+ hour course, participants will learn MD State laws as required to be able to carry a firearm in connection with their work.

Student Officers will learn to operate tactically to engage the ever changing world.

American Red Cross

Learn the skill needed to save a persons life, utilizing First Aid, CPR and the AED.

This class is approximately 8 hours in duration 

Less than Lethal

With our Less-than-Lethal training;

Officers will learn the various different tactics and techniques to defend themselves and others.

MDTS - Baton - OC Spray - Handcuffing
